Gateway theme header not seen on mobile device

  I need help with the free Gateway theme. I’m a premium user and have played with the site all weekend trying to fix this. My header image does not resize when viewed on a tablet or mobile device. I’ve searched through the forums and it looks like the creators are aware of this problem on the wordpress.ORG website. They directed me here. I really don’t want to start over with a new theme. Please advise.

  Hello

  Perhaps your are mixing “Header Image” with “Site Logo”

  You can add a Site logo under Customize section (https://thiswingedheart.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php), I suggest that you crop the image that is already uploaded to the limits of the image (like this: https://pedger.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/cropped-cropped-header-try31-e1437989382896.jpg?w=300)

  Then, you can add a header image that is only the grey like background of your current header image, so you will not have a default color background on your header.

  You can see in the Gateway Theme Demo Page that the logo (round gateway image) is always in the center of the page regardless of the browser window size, while the background image is cropped if you have a smaller browser window.
