Gateway theme : primary menu disappears

Using the free Gateway theme, I’ve noticed that the primary menu disappears from view when scrolling down the home page, once the browser window is smaller than around 1200 pixels wide. It stays visible for all browser widths when looking at only the very top of the page; but will disappear when scrolling further down the page.
I’m wondering, please, if there is some way to make it always visible, no matter where on the home page one is looking. Note that on this website, there is only one page – the home page.

Hi there,
By design, this theme only has a sticky menu on the desktop view, but it is a fixed menu (that scrolls out of viewport) on tablet and desktop views. This switching of different menu styles is handled via javascript and it is not possible to override this via CSS. To change this behavior will require accessing the theme source files to edit the javascript contained in the theme directly.
This is not possible under the Premium plan, so to be able to edit source code in this way will require an upgrade to our Business plan or higher. More info here:
However, without upgrading you may be able to get a sticky menu by switching to a block theme, which is a newer kind of theme (made of blocks) that gives you the ability to edit site templates such as the header directly in the block editor.

Once you have switched, you can edit your site templates to place the header inside a Group Block, which will allow you to set the position as “sticky” so that it stays pinned to the top in all views (desktop and mobile.)
