Gateway Theme with analytics
-
I am trying to improve blog traffic and I am having difficulty finding the header code to install google analytics. Also, I have no idea how to install the jetpack plug-in. When I go to the plug-ins page there is no option to add plug-ins so what is the best way. Total noob, but really trying to learn.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM runs Google Analytics on our blogs, but only those who pay for a $299. per year US for the Business upgrade bundle can view them. Business bundle details are here http://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/

Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you prefer, you can hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and move your content into a WordPress.ORG install https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

thank you, I’m starting to piece it all together that I may have set it up wrong. I have paid for the premium site so my address didn’t have the wordpress.com at the end and I hosted it through wordpress – If I move to wordpress.org do I lose everything I have done so far, including my website? Ugggghhhhh this is becoming a second job lol

If I move to wordpress.org do I lose everything I have done so far
No. You can move your content (minus the themes as they cannot be exported), and you can also point your domain name servers to your new host. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/

thank you so much I will play with this tonight. Are there new themes available in wordpress or do I have to find some code and plug it in?

When you say “wordpress” exactly which software do you mean?
re: themes for wordpress.COM hosted blogs
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.See:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/There is no upgrade you can purchase here at WordPress.COM that changes that reality.
To install plugins or third party themes into a site then you have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
