Gazette – Featured Content
-
Hi, I’ve created a custom homepage in the Gazette theme, which has now linked as my homepage. However, I’m having problems replacing the six-image featured content at the top of the page. I’ve taken the necessary steps, again.
1. Written ‘featured’ in lower case in the customise box. 2. Placed ‘featured’ tags in the six most recent posts. 3. Put images into the featured box, within each post.
Also, I can’t see how to activate the self-updating flow of posts, either. I assumed that the 4-box grids (that I’ve separated out) with some of my existing posts were showing on repeat, in order to demonstrate the latest posts boxes used in default.
By the way, I’m not CSS literate; so thanks for any help you can give.

Brief update.
I can still see on the Homepage Settings that ‘Your Latest Posts’ displays the previous default homepage that I was using. However, the ‘Static Page’ is showing options for my custom homepage.
So, in the ‘Homepage’ option within ‘Static Page’, the untitled custom homepage ‘–50’ shows, but without my posts, whereas if I switch to the ‘Posts Page’, it brings up the previous default page.
In short, my custom homepage and latest posts are not aligning, and I don’t know why. It probably accounts for the Featured Content not appearing.
Thanks, in advance of any help. I’ve had to put an ‘Under Construction’ notice at the top of the custom homepage, that’s displaying only 4 of 50 posts.
