Gazette theme doesn't put an article in the featured area

  Hello, I use the Gazette them in my blog, but when I tag an article as featured, it doesn’t show in the feature area until I Customize/Personalize the theme. That’s so ridiculous, because I don’t want to do that every time I publish a featured article.

  Please, help me. Nobody has answered me in other posts about blog with the same problem.
