Gazette theme grid issue

Hello,
I have six posts marked featured for the grid at the top of my web page with the Gazette theme, but the sixth spot shows up as a grey box and the post is at the bottom with the two unfeatured posts. I have tried everything including untagging it as featured and posting an all new post with the featured tag to see if that would fill the spot, but it didn’t. I even tried changing to a different theme and back but that did not help. I have searched everywhere for answers, I hope someone can help.

Hello, I am related to the person who posted above and have been a web developer for years. I tried to fix this for her and can’t for the life of me figure it out. I have changed the name of the feature tag and tagged the 6 posts that should go to the top, the one post still will not go to the top. I have untagged everything and retagged, I have messed with the image, tried different ones, resized it in photoshop, still same problem. I can’t see anything different in this particular post other then she has content in it. I put some jumble content in another and it still stays up on top, but the 6th one does not. I have examined each post and they all look like they have the same exact settings. So hopefully someone gives some insight. Thanks for your help.

an update.. i created a new post and tagged it for the featured, but that post does not show up in the sixth box either. Its like it doesnt want to fill up that sixth box.

Well, now the test page magically appeared. so I think we have a fix around. Hopefully she can just make that test post the one she wants up there. But if anyone has any info on this problem and why a post wouldnt show up in the featured top section please let us know, because *mindboggled* :)

Screenshot of her site << i noticed she has it on private so here is what it looks like. At first all six boxes were filled but that one box that says Test was gray, just one day decided it wasnt going to fill in with the sixth article she had. The test page i made that links there has all the same tags and everything as the article that should be up there. But it’s not, it would not budge up there no matter what even though everything in it tells it it should be in the featured section on top

Hello, my posts don’t appear in the featured section when I use the tag. Just two of them did it, but when I add a new featured post, it doesn’t show.
How did you resolve the problem?
