Gazette Theme – how to get rid of 'Leave a Comment' above post images on site?

Just changed to Gazette Theme – On site above post featured images the ‘Leave a Comment’ or nr. of comments is visible above the images – how can I remove that?
All advice welcome.

If you don’t wish to allow people to comment on your posts, then you can disable comments by navigating to My Sites > Settings > Discussion:

Uncheck the option next to Allow people to post comments on new articles on the above page. You will also need to disable comments on existing posts/pages by following the guidance here.
If you would like to keep comments enabled but only wish to remove the link to comments from your home page, then there isn’t a built in setting to achieve that.
You could hide that link with some custom CSS, which is a Custom Design option included as part of the WordPress.com Premium or Business plans.
