Hi, So is their anything I need to do or anything based on my blog readers, 3,058 email followers and 274 other followers who have a WordPress account or do I leave it to WordPress to sort out??

  • Hi there,

We cannot tell you exactly what you need to do to be in compliance with the law, as that would be providing legal advice.

However, unless you collect information about your followers beyond the commenting and subscription features provided by WordPress.com, or you use that information yourself beyond the way WordPress.com already uses that information to power those features, GDPR shouldn’t have a significant impact on your site.

The various links in the post @timethief mentioned contains detailed information on the types of data we collect, should you want to write a privacy policy for your site, and we’ll provide tools you can use to export or delete data from visitors to your site should they request it.
