GDPR and free WP accounts

    Hi there,

The European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is finally in force on May 25, 2018. I am just wondering how to phrase the Privacy Policy on free WP accounts, as I do not know anything where data of free accounts is stored, secured, etc.

Therefore, do you have standard Privacy Policy for free WP accounts which is in compliance with the GDPR which I can either place in my Privacy Policy or link to?

    Thanks for your response!

  • Hi there,

If you want to write a Privacy Policy that discloses to your site’s visitors the information that’s collected when they follow or comment on your site, you can find a detailed description of what gets collected about them at https://jetpack.com/support/comments/#privacy

However, we cannot provide you with a template or otherwise advise you on the exact content of such a policy, as that would amount to providing legal advice.
