GDPR & WP 4.9.6

Hi, I have a wordpress blog (blog only, and I have no idea which version). I cannot figure out how to upgrade to 4.9.6 to become GDPR compliant. Warning: I am a computer idiot! I downloaded the zip file, but have absolutely no idea what to do with it since it doesn’t install automatically.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@cjwerlingerbooks our software is is a bit different from self-hosted installations. We take care of updates on our end.
