General advice regarding ads
-
Hi! I have been blogging on WordPress for around 3 years and have built a fair following on one of my blogs on which I receive around 75,000 views a month. I have been told this is enough traffic to gain a bit of money but I have absolute no idea how best to go about this.
The blog is aimed at a local audience and a specific football side. My knowledge of online advertising is very poor and all I am looking for really is a bit of advice in how best to maximize any profits I could make.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We do have an advertising program called WordAds, which you can read more about here:
The WordAds program has a minimum traffic requirement before your site can be accepted. Once you have reached that amount your site will be automatically accepted in.
Alternatively, if you purchase our premium subscription you will be automatically accepted into WordAds.
If you decide to go that route, once you have paid for Premium go to WordPress.com/plans/my-plan
Scroll down to the bottom, there will be a button labeled Start Earning, click on that to join WordAds.
Fill out your info and you will be all set.Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed. For full details, please see:
http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
If you require other advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. Please see this link to learn about the differences:
We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested:
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
