General Options
-
Hi! :)
I’ve come back to ‘pure’ WordPress for a client and am baffled to not be able to access the General / Header / Navigation / Content / Footer Options at the backend – these used to be stored under ‘Appearance’ and now I am just faced with ‘Editor’ that will not allow me to do any tweaks to the actual appearance in terms of content.
I am constantly being told that it is great that I can access the block editor – yay! – but, um, where are my controls?
What am I missing?
Please advise – thank you! <3Best regards,

Hi there!
If you worked with WordPress.com some time ago we need to get you updated :) Now, all of those settings are done from the Editor.
Here is a general guide on how to use it: https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/
Here is a guide on how to edit header: https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/customize-your-header/
Same but about the footer: https://wordpress.com/support/edit-the-footer/
You could also use one our our classic themes: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/classic-theme/physio-casinopark.ch which still use Customizer but I would recommend getting on board with the new editor as soon as possible.
Another alternative is letting us build the site, it takes just 4 days and costs $499. You can check it out here: https://wordpress.com/website-design-service/?utm_campaign=happiness
Additionally, what kind of site are you building? I may be able to suggest something more specific.
