General Reader for Poetry

Even though I have tagged my poetry post as only Poetry twice they are not showing up in the general reader. Please help. Eiuther that or freshly press me. >KB

This is happening because your poetry tag is actually poetry-2 as shown here:
http://themirrorobscura.wordpress.com/tag/poetry-2/
The “2” at the end of the URL prevents it from appearing in Reader searches for “Poetry”.
Did you have multiple tags set as “poetry” sometime in the past and then convert or delete the original?

I apologize for the confusion. When you have a tag and a category with the same name, the last to be created (in this case the tag) will be assigned a “-2” to distinguish the slug (poetry vs. poetry-2). However, both tags and categories are included in the WordPress.com Reader. So, your posts with the “Poetry” category are included. Here’s your latest post “Pink Rose” for example:

That was a reblog. Are you saying I should either categorize or tag poetry only a single time for it to work? >KB

Both tags and categories show up equally in the WordPress.com Reader, and it doesn’t matter which you use. So if you have a tag “poetry” that’s all you need to use for the post to appear in the Reader – you wouldn’t need to *also* have a category called “poetry”. And vice versa.
