Generic WordPress footer removal from paid domain wordpress site with paid theme

    Hi there,
    I have bought a domain through wordpress and have also bought a layout theme (ladder).
    How do I remove the wordpress footer with the text ‘BLOG AT WORDPRESS.COM. THE LADDER THEME. ‘ from my website and its pages?

    That snippet of text is required per our Terms of Service here:

    The specific relevant section is #11, pasted below:

    Automattic reserves the right to display attribution links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com,’ theme author, and font attribution in your blog footer or toolbar. Footer credits and the WordPress.com toolbar may not be altered or removed regardless of upgrades purchased.

    At least I know to search no further.

    Might be nice as a thought if it were possible, for the writing of it to be made smaller than my own personal footer.
