"Get a free blog" problem

Hi,
I have a problem with my site, in that every time I search for it, it comes up in google with the name of my site, but it is always followed by a line that says “get a free blog.” Is there any way to get rid of this?

If it makes you feel better, I didn’t experience the same outcome.
– Can(E)Con search on Google doesn’t find the blog even through the 6th page of results. There were more pages, but I stopped looking.
– “Can(E)Con” search on Google = the very first hit along with several individual articles and then results for what appears to be a very similar blog on Tumblr. There was nothing in the results that I got about “get a free blog”.
– Can(E)Con search on Bing found the blog on about page 6 of the results. No “get a free blog” seen.
– “Can(E)Con” search on Bing found the blog at the bottom of page 1 of the results. No “get a free blog” seen.
Without the quotation marks, all sorts of results were obtained on both search engines: “can cons vote?”, “chili con carne”, many “Con Edison”s (NYC power company), among quite a variety of others.
An experienced WordPresser will have to give you information on whether or not you can get rid of that line in your Google searches.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, the blog is new, so it’s not showing up that well in Google, but if you use my name, it will show up. When the blog does, it has that tagline from WordPress that (slightly) bothers me. And yes, the Tumblr account is mine, as I was comparing the two, but have decided to soon delete the Tumblr account and go with WordPress full time.

it takes 4 to 6 weeks usually for search engines to index a new blog or web site – and that is if there is content worth indexing.
So you need to be patient and keep blogging
