Get back a canceled domain

    Hi
    Thank you in advance for your time and support.
    I was trying to cancel a WordPress plan few minutes ago but I ended up canceling the domain too by accident. I would like to keep the domain to use it later.
    I am trying to purchase it again here in WordPress.com but it says it has been used already.
    Could you please help me to get back my domain? I will pay the cost of it.

    Hi there,

    You appear to have canceled your Personal plan, and since the domain name is included in the plan, it was canceled as well. This has resulted in a refund and also means that you no longer own it. However, you do have a few options for getting it back, let us know which you would like to move forward with!

    1. Wait for grace period to end – Your domain is in a 5 day grace period (from the time you cancelled) but at the end of that it goes on sale again. As long as no one buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider. According to our records it will be available on or about Jan. 29th
    2. Let us recover the domain – Because you have already been refunded, we can send an invoice for registration fees and restore the domain. You’ll be able to connect it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
    3. Stay on WordPress.com – The cost of your domain is included in your plan purchase. To restore your domain just purchase a new plan, and then let us know so we can reattach the domain to your WordPress.com site.
