Hi there,
That domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges an $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.

We’d like to recover the domain name. Are we able to upgrade to the $120 business plan and restore the domain within this price or do we need to pay the additional $80 equaling $200 total? Trying to weigh up best course of action.

The redemption fee is a separate “late” fee charged by domain registrars. It would be in addition to any WordPress.com plan that you decided to purchase.

I forgot to clarify, to recover the domain we do need to collect the domain registration fee up from ($18USD/$17AUD) but since you mentioned that you plan to upgrade to the Business plan (which includes a free domain) I have added $17AUD in credit to your account.
When you add the Business plan to your cart, you will see these credits in checkout and can use them to reduce the cost of the business plan to compensate for the domain you are recovering with us today.
