    You can’t just delete and afterwards recover a deleted domain. When you delete a custom domain you are simply stating you don’t want to use it. After deletion a custom domain enters into a whole system where you cannot just retrieve it from.

    You just have to wait untill a SQtaff member is available and hopefully he will be able to recover your domain.

    The only way to get a deleted domain back is through WordPress.com staff. They’ll usually email you, ask to confirm ownership, and then send an invoice to restore it, so keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder, and reply quickly.

    I had this happen while freelancing for a client. I hit delete instead of just changing the address on my site 🙈. Staff helped me fix it pretty fast once I got back to them.
