get blogname which is registered but not in use?

    Hi wordpress! I was just looking out to start a new blog with some friends. But the blogname which we decided (monothematic blog) is in use but without any post for more than a year, I dont want to denounce the blogname here openly but wanted to ask if there is a possebility to get a used blogname which was just reserved without purpose …

    Recycling blog names

    maybe you can change the name you want slightly. like use zero ‘0’ to replace the letter ‘o’.

    The other thing you can try is to leave a comment on a post and asking them if they would let go of the name. You could then have them add you to the blog as an administrator, and then after you log in, you could delete the original blog owner.
