  Get ‘Editor encountered unexpected error’ when edit my page.

  Can you tell me a bit more about the trouble you are having? Does this issue affect only a specific page, or a message you see anytime you edit content on your site?

  This happens when I edit any page. When I select ‘Edit’, i get a blank screen with a msg that ‘The editor has encountered an unexpected error’. The ‘classic edit’ works. I saw a news flash that WP is working on the WP Edit. I thought maybe that has something to do with my problem but I’m not sure…

  You are using Chrome, yes? We have had reports of session cookies becoming corrupted in the latest version of Chrome, which can lead to strange issues like this.

  If you clear your cache and cookies does that fix the issue? here are the steps Google recommmends for clearing your cache/cookies in Chrome: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050

  Another thing you can try is another browser like Firefox or Edge (Internet Explorer) which should not have this issue.

  I’m having the same problem. It’s affecting only pages, not posts. I don’t think it’s a cache/cookie/browser issue … I just published and edited a new post with no problem. I just can’t edit any of my pages. Same error if I try to create a new page.

  The browser I used that has the problem is MS Edge. I tried Chrome and Firefox and no problem. So I went in MS Edge and cleared the cache and cookie and it solved the problem.

  @jameshayward445 Did you clear your cache and cookies and it did not work? What if you try to login/logout of your WordPress.com account? This can also sometimes reset the browser session so the error goes away.

  As I posted, I cleared the cache and cookies in MS Edge and solved the problem.
