Get live site to local

    How can I get th live site to the localhost (xampp).

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    It’s not possible to migrate or clone a WordPress.com site to a local install, as your local installation will be using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org, not the modified version that we use here on WordPress.com. We also don’t offer any way on WordPress.com to export a full site. Only content can be exported.

    You also cannot upload a locally developed site to WordPress.com, so it’s not recommended to try and use a local installation for building a WordPress.com site, as you won’t be able to use anything you build locally with us.

    You can export your WordPress.com site’s content at My Site ->Settings ->Export, and then you can import that file, but it will only contain the content of your posts and pages, not your theme or any other aspect of the site itself.
