Get me to the old working environment
-
Pleas advise how I can permanently post & edit in the old familiar environment. The new is confusing for me.
Thanks

Please see tpenguinltg’s page of how to find and use the classic editor:

Great, so glad it worked for you. The bookmark of “New Post” will take you to the classic editor, but for editing you’ll have to go to WP Admin, All Posts, or use the user script. Depends on how much editing you have to do and if you edit very old posts or not.

Just checked editing a 2009 post, and after the beep-bop stupidity appeared, I clicked the magic bookmark and back I was to the classic environment. I did not try to make any alterations to the post though.

Oh, you are using the bookmarklet, not just a bookmark of Add a New Post. Very good to know that it’s working well for you for editing, too.

This is what I have copied from the bookmark I use:
javascript:window.location.replace(document.getElementsByClassName(‘switch-to-classic’)[0].children[0].href)Thanks again
