Get More Views on WordPress.com Than WP.org?!?!

I made the move from wordpress.com ( =( ) to wordpress.org last year, and I’ve noticed something worrying. When I was on WordPress.com I got around 250+ views a day, but on self hosted (with a dedicated ip), I only average about 40 views. So, saying this, where could those views have come from? Is wordpress.com doing something that we don’t know thats getting more traffic to our blogs, because I’m seriously thinking about switching back to wordpress.com.

  • When you leave WordPress.com, you lose a few of our built-in social features, like the global tags and WordPress.com search.

Those can tend to have a big impact on your traffic when you’re here.
