Get my domain name transferred

  Hi, I’m looking to transfer the domain name I registered through WordPress.com to another site (Bluehost), or at least get the ability to redirect its DNS. Who can I contact to get the transfer/access code?

  Hi there,

  I don’t see any active domain registrations on your account. I do see you had a domain, sofoodalicious.com, which you cancelled yesterday. Cancelled domains cannot be transferred.

  That domain should be released by our registrar in a week or two, at which time you should be able to register it somewhere else. But we cannot guarantee that – if and when it is released is up to our registrar.

  The other option is that I email our registrar to get that domain restored to our account. Then we can help you to point it to Bluehost, and after 60 days you can transfer it. The 60-day transfer lock applies to all new domains at all registrars and cannot be waived even if we wanted to – it’s an anti-fraud measure imposed by ICANN, the body that accredits all registrars on the web.
