get myself an email address sor subscribers

  I have a WordPress.com account. I will buy a theme, but how do I get an email address and a subscription widget. I am going around in circles. My domain is peterallenbooks.com. I just want a site to post my Fiction short stories and build up a following. Thanks Peter

  It looks like peterallenbooks.com is a self-hosted WordPress site, which is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  You may wish to install Jetpack https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/ for extra features like the subscription widget.
