Get rid of category in title

  In the default format, category pages when coming from the menu have the title Category: the category title. I don’t want to have “Category:” before the actual title. How do I get rid of this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m not seeing the word “Category” on category pages, like:

  https://sandyriverreview.com/category/fiction/

  Did you already get this sorted?

  No, sorry. I was looking at another theme – Ixion. We’re looking to change the theme – Ixion shows them. I wanted to figure out how to get rid of it before I change the theme completely.

  There are a couple of ways you would be able to hide the word “Category:” if you were to switch to Ixion.

  It could be done (imperfectly) with some CSS, or you could add a custom function in a plugin. We could help you here with either option if you decide to make the switch.

  If you go the (imperfect) CSS route, I would need to see your site running Ixion before providing the code, since it will depend what font you use.
