Every time I open wordpress there is a CouponDropDown pop up ads that are not just annoying, but offensive. How do I get rid of these?
I cannot find anything to uninstall it. I emptied temp files and browser history and cookies.
What else can I do?

Hi there,
We do occasionally run ads in order to keep free services free. However, the kind of pop up ad you describe doesn’t sound like one of ours — and if it is ours, we would like to investigate what’s going on.
If you see this ad again, can you provide a screenshot of the ad? You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service such as Snaggy.
Please note that it’s possible for ads to appear in your browser that were not placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

I followed the instructions on the links you sent. I do not have problems with these ads anywhere other than my wordpress self-hosted blog. The are increasingly offensive in nature and I found that they are also linking up to my blog posts, highlighting certain words and when the cursor hovers over that word, an ad pops up – offering a new I-Pad, women who are looking for companionship, surveys, etc…
Thanks for looking into this – I took a screen shot and it is in my media gallery at debbiemaulsby.com – is there a place I can send it? -
Hi there, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are actually separate entities, so the ads on your self-hosted WordPress.org blog do not come from WordPress.com. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:
WordPress.com and WordPress.org
You may need to contact the hosting provider for your self-hosted blog for more information about any advertising that is appearing there. It looks like Bluehost hosts your site; you can find their contact information here:

You can also find support for your self-hosted WordPress.org blog at these links:
