  I keep getting a follow dropdown tab on my ipad. How do you get rid of it? It is on every page. I tried to enter a valid email address hoping it would leave but not. I do not want it showing up on everyones ipad that opens my site. I have tried everything I can think of and am getting pissed! please help me get rid of this stupid drop down.

  This follow thing does not show up on my laptop. just ipad. I hope it is not on everyones smartphone! I do not use posts only pages and am not asking people to follow anything. Real disappointing to see this black box covering the right side of my pages. “Sign me up?” Help me get rid of this thing!

  Happy days! I went on Google and found the answer on a forum. it is great finding the answer but worrying that it took so long.

  Hi there!

  I’m glad you were able to figure it out on your own!

  For future reference if anyone else is searching for this answer, if someone visits your site and isn’t logged into WordPress.com, the Follow button will display on your page. This allows readers without WordPress.com accounts to follow a blog using that button.

  After clicking on the Follow button, a dialog box will pop up asking for the email address where new blog posts should be sent.
