get rid of hello world in google preview
-
When I google my website, the pages show up but Hello World also shows up as a broken link because I don’t have a hello world page. I don’t even have one that just isn’t in my menu. I have a blog page, though my home page is a static page. How do I make the hello world page not show up on google?
Thanks!

As soon as you publish a post the error message will be gone. The more content you publish the more indexed posts will appear above the 404 post in Google’s SERPs (search engine page results). Google clears their caches about very 3 – 6 months. Also note that all search engine issues are between the blogger and the search engines and the URL removal tool is not to be used for this type of issue.

It will drop off of google in probably a couple months, six at the outside. If you have a google webmaster tools account, you can do a URL removal request for that URL, but google doesn’t always see fit to remove it. Who knows why.

And if I would have looked, I would have suspected that this is covered in the google link that timethief referenced.
