Get rid of "leave a reply"

Can I create pages where readers cannot leave a reply?
For instance, in the about page, I just need to write information on what the Blog is about and I don’t want people to leave a reply on the basic text.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you expand “screen options” at the top, you can check “Discussion”, and then below the editing box, you can uncheck “Allow Comments”.

All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts as in evidenced own your own blog. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
