Get rid of scorecardresearch.com Javascript
-
Hello,
I am disturbed to notice that my blog hosted by wordpress.com tries to load some Javascript from scorecardresearch.com https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2012/apr/23/scorecardresearch-tracking-trackers-cookies-web-monitoring Privacy Badger says that this is a tracking script. I disable Javascript and block ads by default, so I have a responsibility not to include advertising or tracking on my websites, which is why I pay for WordPress Premium.
How can I get rid of this library? Third-party Javascript is a privacy and security risk, costs bandwidth which not all users can afford. and can make sites less accessible.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Sean,
We use the scorecardresearch tracking code for analytical purposes. I don’t think it can be removed but I’ll check with our data team and get back to you.

Thanks a lot! I don’t mind if my analytics are a bit less accurate … quite a few hits come from search engines or Facebook anyways, so I don’t know exactly what they were searching for or talking about.
