Get rid of the BLOG window

    Hi !
    I’m completely new on this and i’m trying to make a web site for the NGO i’m working with. And of course, i have several questions. I tried to search online but the answers are in IT language and i get zero from it.
    The first question: how do I remove the BLOG window from the page?
    Second one: I made a couple of attempts to upload videos and always shows is not possible. By searching online i can see that is a problem with the format. Up to here ok, so, how do i change the format of our videos without getting crazy?
    Third one: I would like to add on a lateral widget, the website of our association, and it looks like doesn’t give the option. How could i do it?
    For the moment that’s it.

    What do you mean with ‘the blog window’? As long as you are logged in, you’ll see on the top of the page the black WordPress area.
    If you want to pu videos on your blog, best is to upload them to youTube and put those youTube videos on your page, https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
    Your theme does have the option to put a widget in the sidebar but not on the front page.

    Hi staartmees, when you start to create the web, it gives you already some taps and then you add the text, the pic… you can change the title of it except the one that says BLOG. We dont need it, how can i get rid of it or change the title?
    About the video, great, got it! Thanks
    And in regard of the widget, i know i can only add it on the sidebar but i cant find the option of adding another website.

    Hi @infantsdelmoncambodja, to remove Blog from your Menu, go to My Sites > Customize, then click on Menu and then click on Primary and click on the Blog menu item and click Remove and then at the top of the customizer panel, where it says, Draft Saved, click the gear icon, select Publish and the click the Publish button.

    And in regard of the widget, i know i can only add it on the sidebar but i cant find the option of adding another website.

    Can you explain further about what you mean by “website”? Are you wanting to add another page to your site?
