Get rid of the Category Archive: in the Academica Theme

    I do not like the words Category Archive: in the Academica Theme. I would either like to change them or to get rid of the Category Archive: It would be even better if in the CSS change, I could do it selectively for certain categories. here is an example page:

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Duke,

    The terms Category, Archive, and Category Archive are actually part of the WordPress core software, not specific to only the Academia theme. Some themes just style the archive pages differently.

    If you’d like play with changing the element in CSS, you can use a selector like this one:

    body.category-help h1.title-header {
    /* Enter CSS here */
    }

    That selector would only select the “Category Archives: Help” title header on pages with the class “category-help” like the page you linked for me.

    However, if you inspect the element, you’ll see that both the phrase “Category Archives:” and “Help” are within the h1 created by WordPress. So this will probably need a bit of tinkering, Maybe using “visibility: hidden” on that selector, and then creating a pseudo-element after it with your preferred content?

    If you need help adjusting it in CSS, you can find more help in the CSS Customization forum:
