Get rid of the "shadow" filter on Gateway Homepage Header
-
Hi,
I’m installing Gateway theme on my blog and would like to personalize the homepage a little bit.
I managed to do everything I want via CSS customization but I can’t get rid of the “dark” filter on the Hero Homepage Header.
Does anybody know how i can do so ? I basically would like to get the same image than the one I’m getting on the header of the pages. Thanks !
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – give this a try:
.page-template-template-home .header-bg { background-image: url(https://matchalatteparis.files.wordpress.com/2016/09/cropped-cropped-header-3.jpg); }Because of the CSS loading order, the entire header image URL needs to be specified, so if you upload a new one, you’ll need to change the path here too.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi Kathryn,
Its working perfectly, thanks a million for your help !
Just another quick one if its ok with you: my site is in French and I’m using the contact form (“Contact” page), but can’t change the “submit” text for the french equivalent “Envoyer”.Do you know how I can do that ?
Thanks again !

Glad that worked!

You’ll need to change your site’s language to French in your General Settings here, as it’s currently set to English:

Once you do that, the various strings throughout your site that are currently in English should switch to French.
