get rid of the word "menu"
-
I’m using Twenty Seventeen, but I need to get rid of the word “menu,” since it’s for a restaurant, and that’s confusing, since viewers really want to see the actual menu of food. I want to have just the three horizontal lines that everyone in 2017 knows means “site menu.”
Is there a way to get rid of the word “menu”?

Do you have either premium upgrade or Business upgrade?
Have you looked for other restaurant themes?
https://wordpress.com/themes?s=restaurantThe way your themes is designed to function and set up instructions are found at https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyseventeen. The live demo site link is found there too.
We cannot change the way any theme is designed to function. We can change appearance only, provided we have upgraded and undertake CSS editing.
You require either a Premium upgrade or a Business Plan upgrade https://wordpress.com/pricing/ to edit the CSS on any site hosted by wordpress.com.
Note 1: If you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

Thanks for your help. I do have the premium upgrade. I’m not trying to change how the theme works – I just want to remove the word “menu” from the mobile version. I don’t want to remove the actual menu, just the word, leaving the three horizontal lines.
I’ll post in the other forum.
Thanks again.
