Get rid of “uncategorized” category

  It is, hands down, the most annoying feature on WordPress. What if I don’t want any categories at all? Why should all my posts automatically get slapped with this large, obnoxious label?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Because of the way wordpress works and tracks things in the database, you have to assign at least one category to a post.

  Create a category of your own, then go to settings > writing and set the category you created as your default post category. Then go to posts > categories and you can delete the “uncategorized” category.
