Get specific images for recent posts thumbnail.
-
HI! One last question, I swear.
For my recent posts widget I used the short code to allow it to show thumbnails, but it will only show a thumbnail image if a featured image is present in a post. Due to the way my theme shows featured images, I don’t want to use any. Is there a way to manipulate the short code to show whatever image I want?
Thanks…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hiya,
Sadly there is not any way to specify some other image through the shortcode when you’re using the Display-Posts shortcode. If you’re interested in it, you might (I haven’t looked in to it yet, but if this solution appeals to you I can) be able to place a featured image and then have it removed from your posts via CSS, allowing the look you want in your sidebar.
To test it, you would need to do a post with a featured image, and I would need to work on it (and again, no promises!), but I could see what I can do.

Hey!
I actually figured out how to do that (thanks!), but now I have a different problem: I want my recent posts width to be 200px, but when I have it at that width the text won’t stay below the image. I also want go get rid of the circle next to the image. Is there a code for that?
