    There’s just an error with the hosting. Just wait for wordpress’s answer.

    @robdomaine
    Staff are very busy. Please be patient. They will contact you when they get to your support ticket.

    Thanks very much for the help. I’ve only had my site a couple of months and it has never done this before. This is 3 days in a row now with the 400 bad request error.

    What can I say? Staff are undertaking a major upgrade and there are problems. I’m sure they are working flat out to make all of us happy.

    Did you know that when it comes to 400 bad request errors 95% of the time this is because of a problem on the client system e.g. there is something unstable on your PC running the Web browser?

    1. Is your PC secure? Up-to-date- antivirus protections – no malware or viruses. have you scanned it?
    2. Have you installed any new web-based software? Some social networking and games sites ask you to download and run software on your PC so you can interact with other people on the Internet directly (without using your Web browser). This software, if badly written or even criminal, can corrupt all HTTP traffic from your PC.
    3. How stable is your Internet connection? How do you access the internet and wordpress.com?
    4. Do you have another browser you can try? If you have more than one then do you the error using more than one browser?
    5. Do you have a cache problem? Try clearing your cookies, browser cache and browsing history. Disable or remove any third-party cacheing or any ‘web accelerator’ software you installed. Then try rebooting your PC and any firewall/router you use to connect to the Internet. That may not fix the error, but at least may eliminate any problem due to old settings on your PC.

    I will need to look into all of that, like I said my site is only a couple of months old and I haven’t had to do this before. Thanks for the help. wordpress seemed to correct the issue the past two times it happened so it’s probably part of that major upgrade you spoke of. Still nobody likes to lose site traffic as often as this. Best wishes and thanks again for the help.

  • @robdomaine what is the address of the site where you’re seeing the problem please?

    Hello, the site I am having trouble with is called NYGReporter.com. This is the 4th straight day of 400 Bad Request errors that will not let me access my site. I have had the site just under two months and have never had a problem with it until the past 4 days. Each day I receive the error message and some time more then once. I would appreciate any help that you can offer.
