getting a describtion for my new WordPress blogsite!

Hi,
I am curious as to how someone with a website with the wordpress plug-in activated would be able to create a describtion for their new blogsite under their url name as it is listed with the search engines.
I need to find out how to add ‘a describtion’ so wjen people google up my wordpress blog website, they can read the title, the url AND the describtion of the site.

People and search engines find your site by way of tags and categories. Assign each post to a relevant category or tag, and people will find it.

Go to Settings —> General —> General Settings —> fill in tagline “In a few words, explain what this blog is about.” —> Save -

Quite aside from the fact that wordpress.com blogs do not have plugins, as we are on a multiuser blogging platform, we cannot access meta data, including the meta description you are referring to.
If you make effective use of your keys words in the URL, in the blog title, and in your tagline the search engines will pick that up. If you also compose a blog description of 20 -25 words or less and place it on your About Page they will pick it up there too.
