getting a new username without getting a new blog

I used my current username to register a new blog. Then I realized that I would have to post on the newly-registered blog with my current username, and I’d prefer to post with a new username. Of course, I can’t register the username I want, because it’s the same as the blog name I just registered. When I try, I get a message saying that blog name is taken. And it is. By me.

Is there a way I can register a new username to post on my new blog, without registering another blog name?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not to worry this means the blog is “reserved” for you. Staff will help you secure it. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting for them to get to you.

Oh, good! I’ve wondered about this same question for a couple of years. My username has long been inappropriate for my current, active blog. Thanks, TT and bilinguish.
