Getting a wordpress.com domain that was not erased
-
Dear all,
in 2012, I had created a wordpress.com domain (www.agglorouentransition.wordpress.com).
After a short while, I decided to use wordpress.org and create a new domain http://www.agglorouentransition.org.Now, because of a financial situation and because I am quitting the non-profit organization I built the website for, I want to transfer the data from the wordpress.org platform to the wordpress.com platform.
I realized the original domain name had not been erased but I cannot get back to it.
1/ Could you make the agglorouentransition.wordpress.com available back to me? ((email visible only to moderators and staff))
2/Would you have a precise protocol/link that would show me how to transfer the data or individual pages from wordpress.org to .com?Thank you,
JuliaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I realized the original domain name had not been erased but I cannot get back to it.
There is only one means of account recovery so please read on.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Create an XML export file of your wordpress.org content and import the content into the wordpress.com blog after you recover it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

Hi again,
so I tried to log in with my email address and the username for the blog, but it did not work. I asked to renew the password several times, even using Transition IDs.
I have always been the only one dealing with the site, so it cannot be possible that the still-existing “agglorouentransition.wordpress.com” website is under another ID or name.If my access to that websote was deleted when I switched from wordpress.com to .org … why is it still on (??)
In that case, I would like NOT to suppress it but to regain access…
Thank you!

Nothing you did with the WordPress.ORG install should affect your blog here
I did leave a comment on the blog here so you should get a notice at the email of record for the blog – else follow the directions below
If required please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Hi,
first of, think you for the quick replySecond, I did get the email but the site still does not appear in my sites…
-
have you tried logging straight into the blog?
https://agglorouentransition.wordpress.com/wp-login.php
have you looked for hidden blogs?
dashboard >> Home >> My Blogs >> Click on the “Hidden” link around the top of the page
I have also flagged this for the staff to help – they can see the owner of the blog I can’t
-
Yes, I have…
It still shows me
– juliamclause.wordpress.com (which I have never really taken care of…)
– croix2pierre.wordpress.com (which is a site on which I have been put administrator)Thanks for the flagging… We will see.
Cheers -
Hi Julia,
The site at agglorouentransition.wordpress.com is owned by a different WordPress.com user. You’ll need to sign in to that other account to access this site’s dashboard.
If you don’t remember the login details, you can get more help regaining access to that site by filling out the recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Hi Rachel,
I did that already and it said it would give me the info but it did not.
I believe I used the AggloRou76 username (if that’s possible that you can confirm that).
I will try again… -
So it does not work… even when I tell the system that I do not know/remember the username…
Here below is the first mail I could retrieve from WordPress.com in my mailbox.
I hope I did not erase previous messages too fast then (?)
I remind you that I had switched from wordpress.com to wordpress.org…“Hi there! We at WordPress.com just wanted to let you know that we have set your new domain, agglorouentransition.org, as the primary domain for your site, agglorouentransitiondotorg1.wordpress.com.
The primary domain is the one that will display in the browser’s address bar. If you’d like to review the settings, just head on over to the link below.
http://agglorouentransitiondotorg1.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Also please be aware that when changes are made to domain names, it can take as long as 72 hours for them to become evident to all internet service providers, so if your domain doesn’t seem to work right away, please wait a few hours and try again.”

Hi Julia,
I see that Lisa from our account recovery team is now helping you with this via email. She’ll be able to finish sorting this out for you. :) Just let me know if there’s anything more I can do to help!
-
Hi Rachel,
yes, she did! Thanks for the follow-up!
She managed to add the domain to my blog with the transact ID I gave her!
Thanks again! I do not think I need anything else so far.
Could we keep the conversation open in case I have a problem with data exportation from wordpress.org to wordpress.com?
Cheers,

Hi Julia,
Sure thing! This forum thread will automatically close after about a month of no replies here, but until then you’re welcome to come back with other questions. Alternately, you can start a new forum thread with any other questions and we’ll help you out that way. :)
