getting access to a home page
-
HI:
I am new to wordpress, and trying to set up this blog, and it is getting frustrating. I have deleted the copy that was automatically put in under the “home” page, and now I can’t access the page. The page itself does not show up under the all pages list, either.
How can I either delete the tab titled “home” entirely and start from the beginning to add a new page, or gain access to the “home” page so that I can edit the copy?
thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The “home” page isn’t a page in the true sense – at least not like an about page and such. The “home” (posts) page is dynamically created by the wordpress software whenever a browser calls for it.
To put stuff on the front page, you create and publish posts although the front page does not have to be the “posts” page.
Perhaps if you tell us a little about how you are going to use the site, we can hone in on what you might need.
Also, here are three references for people new to wordpress.

thanks for the links. I will check them out. I was hoping this would be quick and easy, since I have had a website elsewhere for several years.
My blog is titled after my forth-coming book. It is intended to reach out to my ideal clients, be a vehicle for building community and involvement with my women’s institute and including used as a marketing vehicle to communicate about my specialized programs and services and attract ideal clients to enroll in them.
I will put pages there about me, the institute, the book and book writing updates/ excerpts, client success stories, as well as a weekly blog post on topics related to spiritual energetic healing, women and relationships, healing relationship problems, healing from divorce, women’s spiritual growth, healing and empowerment, women’s spirituality, the return of the Divine Feminine, and topics along these lines.
So how do I access the page (or whatever it is) called “home”, and retitle it, and add posts to it?
thank you so much for your pointers.
