Getting access to domain without having access to account

    To whoever can help,
    I have recently started with a new company and have built them a new website on Squarespace and would like to use the domain they have with their old website on WordPress for the new website. Problem is, no one in the company has access to the wordpress account login details for the old website and so I’m unable to complete the steps to link domain to new website. I do have access to the admin (dashboard) side of the website, does anyone know how I can complete linking domain to Squarespace website without access to the wordpress account?

    Hi Mac,
    I went through this with a domain where the person had died, so there was no way to get to the name server. I was told that for security reasons, this has been rendered almost impossible. In my situation, we ended up abandoning the domain and swapping a new one that was altered slightly with punctuation. I don’t know if that will work for you, but it was a simple solution.
