Getting an error message when I use a link via twitter to direct people to my blog.

Posted a link to my blog on Twitter today. Was told people were getting an error message when they clicked on it. Here’s the message:

    Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from http://www.katemariecollins.wordpress.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

    How do I fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Howdy, Kate.

That error message is telling the visitor that they’re trying to connect to a secure site, but that their browser isn’t accepting the secure connection. Here’s some information that might be helpful, specifically for Chrome users.

it’s also possible that the link as shared on Twitter pulled the “https” off of the front and replaced it with the insecure version “http.” In either case, the visitor would be in no danger by overriding the error message and proceeding to the site.

If you can post a link to the specific Twitter post, I’ll be happy to take a further look.

I looked at the post again and it was my error. Had a typo. All better now. Thank you!
