Getting back my old wordpress.com username

  Hello,

  I have recently asked for my wordpress account to be retired, and had changed my username. the request to delete an ancient wordpress.org blog of my dashboard was succesful, but as accounts can’t be deleted…I’m now stuck with a second username and wish i could go back to use teh old one which was “atoussama”
  When I type it in teh change username form, i have an error message saying “This username is taken” but its actually my old username, and i need it as all my business use the same one for matter of clearness and make it easy to access and remember.

  Please could you help me set back that username ? thanks

  Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name.

  Sorry but username changes are permanent and irreversible so that’s not possible.

  and now i can’t even use atoussama.wordpress.com blog adress :(
