Getting blog roll to display like Sela demo
-
Hi, I’m trying to get my blog roll to display similar to the Sela demo ‘blog’ page. It shows images associated with the blog posts in different ways…e.g. image appears underneath heading and the first few lines of text. When I set up my list of posts I can either only have no image or the image above the title for each post. Doesn’t seem to matter which post type I select either. Any tips would be welcome! thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The Blog page on the Sela demo is set to display the full posts, whereas the blog page on https://buildingalifethatsgood.wordpress.com/ is evidently set to display excerpts. The relevant setting with the Sela theme applied may be found at Customize > Content Options > Blog Display.
e.g. image appears underneath heading and the first few lines of text.
In the blog page of the Sela demo, a post that has one or more images displayed below the title has images inserted into the post content. A post with a gallery displayed has a gallery inserted into the post content. When a featured image is set on a post, the image will display above the post title on the blog page.

In addition to your site being set to display excerpts instead of the full post – as musicdoc1 pointed out above – you’ve turned off the display of featured images on the blog. If you’d like to display them like Sela’s demo does, you can check that box in Content Options as well as displaying the full post.
Let us know how it goes!
