Getting Category list into Sidebar

  Would someone please tell me how to put my Categories list into my sidebar? It would be most appreciated!

  Visit Design->Widgets in your Dashboard and add the Categories widget to your sidebar. Make sure to click the Save Changes button.

  Wait…it’s saying my theme doesn’t have widgets. Now I’m lost again. *SIGH*

  You’ll have to pick a theme that does.
