Getting constant spam from one IP address

  I woke up to 20 spam comments caught by akismet. Since then they are coming nonstop. I have been deleting them as they come in. The IP address they all have is 88.198.36.73. Do I just keep deleting them? Allan

  If Akismet is catching them, then it is doing its job and yes, you will have to keep deleting them.

  Is it coming in on an older post? Many times they do. If so, you can go to settings > discussion and under “comment moderation” make sure “Don’t discard spam on old posts” is NOT selected.

  Also, if it is coming in on an older post that is not getting legitimate comments anymore, then you can actually open that post for edit and turn comments off for that particular post.
