Getting downtime mails for website I don’t own anymore and can’t change settings

  • Unknown's avatar

I can’t change settings and everything concerning the old website and at some points the old site doesn’t appear in settings. I get multiple downtime infos everyday and I can’t change / configure the settings for that site anymore..
What can I do, I don’t want that spam ;)
Do I have to delete my wordpress account to get rid of the mails?
My other blog is then deleted as well?
    Cheers Christian

  • Hello there,

It doesn’t look like Weltnomaden.at is hosted with WordPress.com, but we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.

Can you tell me where the site is hosted and what theme is in use please?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,
I owned the website weltnomaden.at with a travel blog made with wordpress, now it’s down and someone else has the domain.

But I still get website down.. messages 1-3 times a day for that domain by jetpack. And can’t deactivate it anywhere in wordpress settings.

Hope that points out the problem :)

  • Hello there,

Ok, if you can access the back end of the website, you would need to deactivate Jetpack as seen here: https://jetpack.com/support/disconnect-jetpack-sites/

now it’s down and someone else has the domain.

Ok, so just to double check this – when you receive these notifications, is there a URL mentioned? If yes, what is that URL?
