Getting Emails for a site that isn't mine.
-
Hello,
I have been getting emails for a website that isn’t mine. I think this may be due to the website url and my email being similar.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thank you for the help.

What sort of emails are you getting? Are they WordPress.com notifications? Or are they email to the blog owner? Or….?
-
They are wordpress notifications. They ask me to moderate or approve comments. I’m pretty sure they are meant for the blog owner.

Hi @dfsemina!
Although http://www.writingrandom.com is a WordPress site, it’s hosted outside of WordPress.com and running on the software available at WordPress.org.
In case you’re not sure of the differences between the two flavours of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) our guide here gives a good overview:
I think it’s likely that the owner of http://www.writingrandom.com made a typo when inputting their email address and used yours instead. Unfortunately, as the site is hosted outside of WordPress.com, staff here aren’t able to correct this mistake.
The good news is that the owner will still be able to see comments submitted to their pages via their Dashboard. I recommend adding a comment and explaining the situation to the owner here:

I hope that helps to point you in the right direction. Let me know if you have further questions.
